YSSO is a celebration of balance and harmony; ancient and modern. Our work is defined by the rich history and natural beauty of Greece.
We draw inspiration from our country's diverse landscape — incorporating elements from the sea, mountains, and flora — and partner exclusively with Athenian workshops in order to highlight traditional Greek jewellery making and goldsmithing techniques.
From Archaeology to Jewellery
Stalo, an archaeologist who worked on excavations across Greece in the 1980s, has always been fascinated by the emotive power of jewellery as a vehicle for women to express themselves.
A sculptor at heart, she has over 30 years experience in jewellery making, history of art and design.
“I love crafting and sculpting with my hands, this is something I have always been good at, and enjoyed – creating form purely from my own imagination”
Alexia and Stalo began the brand as a love project to their own creativity. The design process is one of abstraction and creative impulse, and one that is stemming from the very honest need to expand their own horizons and bond with a community larger than their own.
